About White Dog Brown Cow

Hi, I'm Toni. I sell funny and sarcastic pins, stickers, accessories and mugs on the internet, which is a sentence I never thought I'd type, and yet here we are.

White Dog Brown Cow wasn't born in a boardroom, or a brand strategy session, or wherever normal businesses come from. It was born in a hospital chair, next to my Dad, during some of the hardest months of my life.

If you've ever sat in one of those chairs, you know the deal. There's a lot of waiting. A lot of beeping. A lot of trying to hold it together while everything around you insists on falling apart. I needed something to laugh at, because the alternative was not laughing, and I wasn't about to let hospital vinyl flooring be the thing that broke me.

I launched this website from that hospital bedside, in the last few days I had with my Dad. He didn't get to see it finished, but he'd have loved that it exists - he was the funniest, most sarcastic bastard I knew, and I'd like to think he'd find it hilarious that his last gift to me was an excuse to be ridiculous every day.

White Dog Brown Cow was named for my own two ridiculous, mismatched pets: Rameses, a white dog who has the chaos levels of a toddler on red cordial and zero impulse control, and Elizabeth, my brown cow who has the patience of a saint and the best side-eye in the paddock. On paper the two of them shouldn't work - one bounding through life at full speed, the other calmly chewing his cud and watching the chaos unfold - but somehow they're the perfect pair. Together, they remind me daily that life’s funnier when you embrace the contrast - the wild and the calm, the silly and the sincere.

White Dog Brown Cow is what happens when you refuse to put the joke down, even when everything else is falling apart.

We don't take life too seriously here. We celebrate sarcasm, dark humour, side-eye, and the joy of saying exactly what you're thinking.
